How Static Electricity Works

Static electricity is the result of an imbalance between negative and positive charges in an object. These charges can build up on the surface of an object until they find a way to be released or discharged. One way to discharge them is through a circuit.

Static brushes close a circuit throught the the carbon fiber to the aluminum frame. The frame must be grounded by it's mount or lead wires. The circut conducts electricity and rebalances the charges removing the static. Westmont's anti-static brushes are durable.
